What is there in Turkey that you just cannot afford to miss? Certainly a lot of things.
Let’s have a look
Amazing Istanbul
Istanbul is the largest city of Turkey with a population of 12.8 million. A megacity, as well as the cultural, economic and financial center of Turkey.
|
What is so special about Istanbul?
Well it is the only metropolis in this world which lies in two different continents and it has also been voted as the 2010 cultural center of Europe. Istanbul is an emerging fashion capital, now competing with Milano, Paris and New York with highly creative designers, top events and world class boutiques.

Fascinating Pamukkale
Pamukkale, also known as “cotton castle”, is a city that contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.
|
What has tourism got to do with the sediments in Pamukkale?
Sedimentaion of white mineral deposits in Pammukale has led to a fascinating phenomenon: a huge number of warm pools formed on stunning white terraces! People have bathed in these pools for thousands of years. Take a look.

The area is a world heritage site and so wearing shoes in the water is prohibited to protect the deposits.

Exciting Cappadocia
Cappadocia is a famous tourist destination, because of its unique geological, historic and cultural features. The region is largely underlain by sedimentary rocks formed in lakes and streams, and ignimbrite deposits erupted from ancient volcanoes approximately 9 to 3 million years ago. The rocks of Cappadocia eroded into hundreds of spectacular pillars and minaret-like forms. The volcanic deposits are soft rocks that the people of the villages at the heart of the Cappadocia Region carved out to form houses, churches and monasteries.
|
What is so exiting about these rock formations you ask?
Well the rock formations are now used as cave hotels and a hot air balloon ride over the valley of fairy chimneys can be a major romantic get away for you.

Attractive Ankara
Being the capital city of Turkey, Ankara is the country’s second largest city and an important commercial and industrial city. It is an important crossroads of trade, strategically located at the centre of Turkey's highway and railway networks, and serves as the marketing centre for the surrounding agricultural area.
|
What makes this city so attractive?
The city is very well known for its precious Angora Wool and Mohair. Then there is the wine made from the region’s Muscat Grapes and even a unique breed of Angora Cat. Ankara is a very old city with various archeological sites. The hill which overlooks the city is crowned by the ruins of the old castle, which adds to the picturesque ness of the view, but only a few historic structures surrounding the old citadel have survived to our date.
